A Jackson County man is reportedly being held in connection with his father’s death Sunday.

Byron Heath Shavers, 48, of Section, is being held on murder charges in the Jackson County Jail without bond, according to jail records.

WAAY is reporting that Shavers is accused of killing his father, whose name has not yet been released, on Sunday morning.

Jackson County authorities said they plan to release more information today.
